ATRS Recycling expands Rock Run Recycle Campaign with 9 sponsored runners to keep Humana Rock 'n' Roll Dallas Half Marathon clean and green.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) - American Textile Recycling Service (ATRS) returns to the Humana Rock 'n' Roll Dallas Half Marathon on March 22nd to promote its ROCK RUN RECYCLE campaign. This year for the first time, 9 sponsored "green fairy runners" decked in the company's signature mascot gear will hit the course. Their goal is to remind marathoners to keep the race clean and green by recycling their dropping warmup wear.

ATRS will also be exhibiting at the Health & Fitness Expo on March 20-21 collecting unwanted running gear, clothing & shoes while handing out swag to educate attendees about the importance of textile recycling. Kids are invited to play the Recycler Toss Game and win toys and prizes.

On race day, ATRS volunteers and staff will line the corrals wearing signature green "RECYCLE HERE" T-Shirts to ensure participants and spectators at this half marathon know their dropped warmup wear will be reused, recycled and repurposed. Every pound collected over the 3-day event will be diverted from municipal landfill and directly fund local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

"I'm very excited to teach kids how to recycle their textiles using our new Recycler Toss game!" says Sarah, the enthusiastic ATRS Green Recycling Fairy. "It's super easy, just like textile recycling in real life, and every winner gets a prize."

Now in its third consecutive year, the ROCK RUN RECYCLE campaign is sponsored by the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series and ATRS to promote fun, earth-friendly recycling practices at each race. Marathons will take place around the country including the upcoming St. Jude Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon and Health & Fitness Expo on April 23-25th.
