Nester® Launches Next Generation Auto Marker Solutions

Nester 7 Delivers Breakthrough Fabric Savings and Extends Marking Capabilities

WALESKA (Atlanta), GEORGIA - Nester Software Technologies Inc. (NSTI), the leading global developer of material utilization and process optimization solutions for the apparel and sewn-products industries, will unveil its new automatic marker making/nesting software NESTER™ 7 during the Japan International Apparel Machinery (JIAM) trade show on May 18-21 in Osaka, Japan. The result of more than 20-years of development and continuous improvement, Nester 7 raises auto-marking to new levels by significantly improving efficiencies of virtually any product or fabric type processed by the system. It also adds new capabilities that enable the automatic creation of difficult special purpose markers.

Throughout its history, NESTER has delivered measurable benefits to the companies that utilize it for both costing and production marker-making. Most NESTER users have experienced significant time and material savings resulting in a return-on-investment after only a few months. NESTER 7 delivers truly breakthrough results and additional savings potential that have proven to increase the efficiency of previous versions by as much as 2 percent – a greater leap in savings than ever before achieved. This promises an exponential increase in cost savings for both new and existing users of NESTER solutions. Along with these breakthroughs in efficiency, NESTER 7 also benefits from the latest programming techniques that allow the software to produce these profound results in even less time than before.

In addition to performance improvements, NESTER 7 adds a number of new marker-making capabilities such as NESTERmatch™, which automates and optimizes the creation of markers for stripe and plaid markers. Other new features include tools for creating tubular knits markers, sectional markers, and advanced automation for special purpose markers for piece blocking and construct/bump line nesting. These new capabilities promise to significantly extend the use and value of automatic nesting to applications heretofore resigned to labor-intensive manual marker making.

"Nester 7 is one of the most significant developments in the history of our company", stated Steven McLendon, president of Nester Software Technologies. "While ½ percent savings in fabric is more than sufficient to deliver a 6-month ROI for most companies, Nester 7 has proven in large-scale testing to produce up to 4 times that level of savings. For a typical apparel company, this could result in a savings of $50,000 to $200,000 per year. With material costs representing the single largest cost component for sewn-products, we consider our mission of saving our customers time and materials more important than ever."
