The savings!

The initial cost of spunbonded cartridges is considerably higher than that of paper cartridges, but the overall cost can be less. This is because spunbonded filters can be washed and reused many times over. A big advantage with sticky powder! Also, at a filter changeout of powder coat paint filters, we lose approximately 25 lbs. of paint with the paper filter, compared to approximately 3 lbs. of paint with the spun bonded filter. This is due to the large area of paper, holding much more powder than the spunbonded filter.

Supreme Cleaning Ability

Pulse cleaning of spunbonded media cartridges is more effective than with paper or felt, because the pleats are spaced widely apart on the spun bonded filters and the surface does not permit the particles to become embedded as in the case of felt and paper. Of course, since the spunbonded holds less powder than the others, it has to be pulsed earlier. However, since the pulsing is easier with spunbonded filters, they can be pulsed at a lower pulse pressure than paper or felt.

No fibre migration or linting!

Because spunbonded media is produced from continuous fibre, it is not prone to fibre migration or linting. This is beneficial in powder coating where the possibility of fibre migration would not be acceptable.
