Guide: Surface Treatment & Adhesion of Victrex APTIV™ Film

Untreated Victrex APTIV™ films, made with VICTREX® PEEK™ polymer, have a low Surface Free Energy (surface tension), as with most polymer surfaces. The untreated film surface may therefore exhibit low bond strength with adhesives, printing inks etc. Surface treatment increases the surface tension of the non-polar PEEK surface.
