The mission of the Alabama Textile Manufacturers Association is to provide a framework through which the fiber, textile, apparel, home furnishing, hosiery and associated textiles can respond to issues and opportunities for all segments of the industry.

Our Objectives Include:

• Representing the industry on legislative and regulatory issues before the Alabama Legislature and state agencies.
  
• Informing the industry regarding state legislation, agency rules, regulations, actions, and general industry developments.
  
• Promoting the positive image and economic importance of the industry to state governmental officials, general public, industry employees and news media.
  
• Supporting national programs of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute where appropriate for ATMA members and when financially feasible, as determined by the ATMA Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
  
• Entertaining other proposals that are beneficial to the Alabama fiber, textile and apparel industry upon approval of the ATMA Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
