About Us

Since the Hope Webbing Company's founding in 1883, the company's history has been a lesson in applying the power of ingenuity and diligence in industry. Founded by Charles Sissin and Willis White, two young men with a commitment to quality and hard work, the company soon established a reputation for superior craftsmanship in the textile industry. By 1948 Hope manufactured more narrow fabric materials than any other company in the United States.

Under the corporate umbrella of Narrow Fabrics of America, Hope has distinguished itself as a manufacturing operation poised for even greater success in the next century. Between 1986 and 1996, the company's product line expanded from simple traditional textile items—such as shoelaces and webbing—to innovative applications of fabric technology that incorporate such advanced materials as Kevlar®, Teflon®, Nomex®, and metal and fabric combinations in order to achieve a dynamic range of industrial and automotive applications.
