Pipe Thread Grinding Helps Prevent Downhole Problems

Fall River, MA - A line of Type 1 cotton-fiber wheels for removing thread-root corrosion and grinding out cracks to help assure pipe connection integrity and is available from Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts.

Rex-Cut Type 1 Wheels for pipe thread grinding are made from multiple layers of non-woven cotton fabric and either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasives which are laminated, pressed, and bonded together. Providing an effective way to remove thread-root corrosion and grind-out cracks using a high-speed grinder, they will not change the thread geometry.

Available in two styles: A54GFX soft bond for cleaning and finishing threads and A54MTX hard bond for grinding-out cracks, Rex-Cut Type 1 Wheels for pipe thread grinding are offered with coarse, medium, fine, and very fine grain sizes. Measuring 75mm x 3mm x 10mm (3" x 1/8" x 3/8"), they are suitable for I.D. and O.D. applications.
