Every functional detail of the Tube-Tex 9-60 4-Roll Pad is specially designed to enhance the processing of tubular knits. A newly developed torque compensator reduces the rotation of the turntable by 50%. It also contributes to more consistent fabric flow conditions by working in conjunction with the turntable as the twist sensor directs. The Torque Compensator also helps to eliminate undesired fabric skew.

Belt spreaders or ring guiders gently open and spread the fabric tube. A wet-out system, featuring automatic air ballooning, yields an even and consistent moisture content while allowing fabric relaxation and cross-line straightening before extraction. This, combined with rapid chemical turnover, gives better penetration for uniform chemical pickup.

The 9-60 4-Roll Pad can run single or double strands in a batch operation in preparation for dyeing. It can be installed single strand in tandem with dryers for a continuous operation with automatic synchronization between operations.

All Belt Drives and polyurethane squeeze rolls help make the 9-60 a very low-maintenance system.

A fully automated twist sensor gives smooth control of the detwisting function.

Hydraulic Turntable drive – eliminates frequent traditional electric motor and dive belt maintenance problems. Turret thrust bearing (sealed) are designed to withstand 10,000 lbs. vertical load, replaces traditional caster wheels. Lubrication is performed without having to lift platform as is required on caster wheel supported systems. Wet-truck wheel chocks prevent trucks from rolling off turntable.

Power-Driven Lifter Roll with Fabric Tension Control and Knot Detector – minimizes fabric tensions and improves consistency of tension of fabric feed onto pad spreaders. Improves detwister sensor operation due to easy uncoiling of fabric with less tension. Maximum and consistent feeding onto the spreaders is realized when unloading the dye machine by uniformly plaiting the fabric into the wet-truck.

Post Spreading Option reduces sharpness of edge line crease, increases dryer throughput and improves finish width stability.

Hole Detectors and Crash Bar Protection prevent damage to fabric and machine.

The spreading, overfeeding, and wet-out technique as applied in the Tube-Tex-4-Roll Pad results in fabric qualities and cost savings that are superior to traditional technologies. Tube-Tex's experience with this technique has been consistent with all plant installations and has resulted in straighter cross-line, improved over-feed, uniformity of width, and lower chemical cost.
