828'S HANDKNOTTED RUGS: LITTLE SURPRISES THAT MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

It has been one year since 828 International took the handmade category by storm. Within this short period of time, the company has successfully established 11 lines of handknotted collections that embrace a wide range of fibers, colors, sizes and price points. These collections remain at the forefront of 828's focus and are continually enhanced with "extras" that surprise even the most discerning customers.

Two such examples are its Tibetan and Mahal series. Patterning several styles from 828's Tibetan series are special silk-like accents that are as wonderful to the eye as they are to the hand. Tibetan Patterns
Since its introduction, 828's Tibetan Collection has been one of the company's most sought after lines. And with styles like TIB-07 and TIB-08, it is easy to see why. This duo represents two of eight products from the series that are accented with mercerized cotton—an incredible fiber that looks and feels like pure silk.

TIB-07 and TIB-08 are sister products with respective ivory and black New Zealand wool fields. Each is adorned in sage-color fern leaves that are handknotted of mercerized cotton causing them to shimmer with beauty like leaves dancing in the wind.

Like all 13 patterns that make up 828's Tibetan Collection, TIB-07 and TIB-08 are offered in 5 x 8, 8 x 10 and 9 x 12 sizes with 10 x 14 available on special order. Suggested retail is $899 for 5 x 8.

Mahal Pattern
One of the most exciting colors this season is plum. And no rug wears it better than MA-01 from 828's Mahal Collection. The company created this sure winner by pairing New Zealand wool with traditional Persian knot styling and the fabulous colors of plum and gold. The combination yields a rug that is incredibly soft, remarkably durable and compellingly glamorous.

The Mahal Collection is available in 30" x 12' runners, 5 x 8, 8 x 10, and 9 x 12 with special orders of 11.5 x 13.5 available. Suggested retail is $799 for 5 x 8.
