ACS 600 AC Drive (208 - 690 volt) Speed and Torque Control of 3 - 3500 HP AC Motors

DTC has brought about fundamental changes to the way in which a motor can be controlled, so that now, in any application, the overall effectiveness of a drive is limited by the performance of the motor - not the drive.

Thanks to Direct Torque Control DTC technology, the ACS600 performs precise speed and torque control of standard squirrel cage motors without the added cost and inconvenience of pulse encoder feedback. In fact, DTC has brought about fundamental changes to the way in which a motor can be controlled, so that now, in any application, the overall effectiveness of a drive is limited by the performance of the motor - not the drive.

The ACS600 series features a multi-lingual alpha-numeric control panel that "Speaks" to the operator in plain "English" phrases, greatly simplifying set-up, operation, and fault diagnosis. The control panel can be mounted on the cover of the drive, or remote, and can Upload, Store and Download parameters.

The ACS600 comes with an extensive library of preprogrammed application macros which, at the touch of a button, allow rapid configuration of inputs, outputs, and performance parameters for specific applications to maximize convenience and minimize start-up time. Additional macros can be developed and loaded from a PC connected to the fiber optic link.

The ACS600 can be used for the most simple application, or the most complex application. The I/O on the ACS600 can be extended by adding modules for analog and digital signals, as well as a host of different communication bus adapters.

The ACS600 can also be provided in a Multidrive package configuration in sizes up to 3500 HP. The ACS600 Multidrive can also be configured with Regenerative front ends, and common AC or Common DC bus lineups as well.
