ADDING and REPLACING Tag-It Pacific Announces Revolutionary Tekfit Technology
Woodland Hills, CA - Tag-It Pacific, Inc. recently announced the availability for select global US brands and the United States market of its proprietary and patented Tekfit™ – the only proven technology available that adds mechanical stretch and recovery to collars and waistbands of non-stretch fabrics for up to two sizes. Tekfit technology, previously committed exclusively to one of the brand name apparel manufacturers since 2002, is available commencing November, 2006, according to the company.
According to U.S government data, an average person's weight fluctuates an average of two to five pounds during a typical year. Yet, expandable, attractive, comfortable clothing is largely an unmet consumer need in today's apparel environment. Unlike other stretch waistbands on the market, which incorporate elastic or are cut on the bias, Tekfit adds stretch to the entire waistband, which is cut on the straight, eliminating the need to add bulky elastic or require the use of additional stretch fabric. Tekfit's durable structure withstands destructive washes and lasts the life of the garment.
With this untapped market afoot, Tekfit represents a significant financial and consumer acquisition opportunity for apparel designers and retailers. "Tekfit technology answers this overlooked consumer need – attractive, expandable and comfortable clothing that doesn't bind, pucker or add unsightly synch," remarks Stephen Forte, chief executive officer, Tag-It Pacific, Inc. "Now qualified global U.S. clothing brands and retailers in the U.S. can incorporate Tekfit into their own lines and give consumers the comfort and convenience they demand."
