Saco Lowell, Inc.x Bale Opening System features two synchronized, counter-rotating opening heads and a lobor-saving automated bale transport system. Each opening roll head is fixed at a predetermined angle and makes a complete rotation in one direction within one minute to pick very small tufts of fiber (0.05gm) from all bales in the laydown. Depending on bale size, the laydown consists of 70 to 92 bales.
Programmable logic controller with diagnostic message center on the operator interface panel allows adjustments of production rate, rotation speed, and laydown reversal. Rotating opening heads and bale feeding area are enclosed with large windows and doors for easy access and inspection.
