Cone Denim Unveils Its Organic Cotton Capsule Collection

Cone Denim, a global leader in denim authenticity and innovation, is excited to unveil its Organic Cotton Capsule collection of denims. Part of Cone’s Sustainblue offerings, this capsule collection features iconic Cone Denim constructions made with 100% organically grown cotton.

“This collection features true denim heritage meets sustainability,” says Pierette Scavuzzo, Director Product Design for Cone Denim. “We are excited to launch these fabrics as part of Cone Denim’s latest Modern Retro capsule, building sustainable components in our most authentic expressions as we continue our commitment to furthering sustainability.”

The cotton used in this collection is organically grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers, and grown using methods and materials that have a lower impact on the environment. These Organic Cotton fabrics have been awarded the OCS certification by Ecocert Greenlife SAS, signifying this Cone Denim collection is made with organic grown materials according to the Organic Content Standard. The aim of this standard is to guarantee the traceability and integrity of the raw materials during all the manufacturing stages.

Cone debuted the Organic collection last week at Kingpins Amsterdam and in advance of this week’s Earth Day. Special sample garments were designed using 100% organic cotton denim, bio-degradable trim, wooden buttons and cotton sewing thread, providing inspiration for a fully nature-friendly design.
