Connecting Through Creativity, Technology, And Business
Designirs and product developers meet the challenges symposium August 12-12, 2009
Research Triangle Park, NC - AATCC, [TC]2, and Philadelphia University are jointly sponsoring a symposium for professionals in the design and product development field that will bring together a diverse range of individuals from the textile, apparel, home furnishings, and related soft goods industries. This two-day program titled, "Connecting through Creativity, Technology, and Business—Designers and Product Developers Meet the Challenge" will be held August 12-13, 2009 at the Tuttleman Center on the campus of Philadelphia University, 4201 Henry Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19144, USA. Philadelphia University is the oldest, and the only private, institution of higher education in the US offering instruction and research supporting textile, apparel, and related industries.

Suzanne Tick, Principal of Suzanne Tick Inc., will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday, August 12. Suzanne Tick Inc. specializes in material development for commercial and residential interiors including textiles, hard surfacing, carpet, woven metal screens, and lighting.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other professionals in the design field and discuss technologies and business strategies that support innovation, creativity, and sustainability as key factors in the development process for soft goods.
REGISTER EARLY AND SAVE – Individuals registering on or before July 28 pay US$749 (US$499 for individual and corporate AATCC/[TC]2 members), which includes luncheons, breaks, and a downloadable copy of all available papers. After July 28, the registration fee increases to US$799 for nonmembers and US$549 for AATCC/[TC]2 members. The student registration fee is US$125. Refunds will be honored if cancellations are received on or before August 4. A US$75 cancellation fee will be charged.
