The Eltex Electronic Tension Monitor ( ETM -weft ) is an on-line device designed for weaving machine applications. The device continuously monitors the weft yarn tension and at the same time acts as a yarn break detector. Monitors the weft yarn tension continuously
Generates machine stop at a yarn break
Stop motion for double insertion and with Anti-2 function as an option
The weft yarn can enter or leave the sensor in either direction
Robust design
Weaving efficiency improvement possible
Improves weaving quality
Simplifies setting of the yarn brakes
Allows repeated style changes in the weft more efficiently and accurately.
Fast sensor enables monitoring of rapidly changing yarn tension
Flash memory technique future software upgrade possible
Overload protection
The ETM weft communicates with the machine computer allowing the option of displaying the weft tension as a graph and/or automatically controlling the weft brakes. The yarn tension is measured as a force on the sensing element. The yarn angle across the element is predetermined by two guide eyelets. The necessary deviation is kept as small as possible but still allows the yarn to enter and leave the unit in any direction.
