The vertical gas infrared predryer is used to accelerate textile processing by adding infrared energy to the line after dyeing or chemical treatment, before the product goes over steam cans. An addition of infrared energy "kicks off" the drying process, allowing the line to be run quickly without sacrificing product quality. Customers can run lines at up to 60 yards/minute when processing polyester fabric. This system blasts the product with high intensity infrared energy from both sides, which helps to "kick off" the drying process and allows faster line speeds. The self-contained dryer is delivered prewired, prepiped and ready for installation, with all necessary hardware and wiring for quick and easy installation.

The system is operated using a combustion control system set up according to IRI standards. It is shipped complete with a safety gas train with an automatic latch valve, as well as all regulators, gas cocks, pressure switches and gauges. Six individual pilot assemblies and six heater mixer assemblies, one each per gas heater, are included in the system. An UV scanner detects heater flames. The operator interface uses Honeywell UDC 3000 temperature controllers for feedback control via throttle valves. High limit controllers feature digital displays and sound alarms. Main control components are housed in a floor mounted NEMA 12 enclosure that can be positioned for easy operation of the system.
