GE Silicones Finalize Acquisition of Macklanburg-Duncan
GE Silicones, a global manufacturer of silicone and related products, has completed its acquisition of Macklanburg-Duncan's adhesives and sealants business, to establish their new business unit, GE Sealants & Adhesives.
William P. Driscoll, Jr., Vice President and General Manager of GE Silicones made the announcement. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The new business unit, GE Sealants & Adhesives will establish its headquarters in Charlotte, NC., with manufacturing at GE Silicones' Waterford, N.Y. and Canadian facilities in addition to the Macklanburg-Duncan manufacturing plants in New Smyrna Beach, FL; Euless, TX; and Las Vegas, NV.
Richard C. Brown, appointed President and General Manager of the new GE Sealants & Adhesives business unit stated, "The addition of new products, brands, and manufacturing capabilities allows GE to offer a complete line of caulks, sealants and adhesives."
