The GPD 333 is 1/4 the size of conventional PWM drives, while providing more programming capability. The drive is available in 230 and 460 VAC ratings, and is NEMA 1/12 enclosed. The NEMA 1 enclosed version is also available in an optional NEMA 12 enclosure.

A 16-bit microprocessor handles all logic functions, as well as the complex, sine-coded PWM-generating algorithms that control IGBT switching. The GPD 333 provides the benefits of all-digital control; adjustments that won't drift or vary with line voltage or temperature.

The 16-bit control logic of the drive also means more software-executed features and more programmable parameters to customize the drive to each specific application. These include such features as two independent accel / decel times, overtorque detection, auto torque boost, DC injection braking, speed search, critical frequency rejection, power loss ride-thru, auto restart and stall prevention.

The GPD 333 is also network compatible. MagneTek's unique NCL communication network accommodates multiple devices (drives) on a single network node. From the networks perspective, up to 30 MagneTek drives are seen as one node, yet all individually addressable. As a result, 882 GPD drives can be controlled by a single Modicon Modbus Plus network.

In addition to NCL, the GPD 333 offers connectability to DeviceNet. The DeviceNet communication network supports up to 64 nodes on a single network at data rates up to 500 Kbaud.
