HeiQ Launches World's First Dual-Action Textile Cooling Technology

Zurich, Switzerland /PRNewswire/ - HeiQ announced the launch of a new dual-action textile cooling technology, HeiQ Cool, the world's first textile technology to offer both instantaneous contact cooling and continuous evaporative cooling.

In response to the importance of body temperature control, where both overheating and feeling cold are problematic, fabrics with HeiQ Cool technology constantly regulate skin temperature with double cooling capacity. In a first step, the absorption of fusion energy provides instant cooling on contact before the first sign of sweat and delays the accumulation of heat, followed by an action of vaporization energy that mimics the thermal regulation system of the skin providing a continuous evaporative cooling while the body is hot and sweaty. Suitable for all fabrics, the initial launch focuses on home textiles, especially sleep products such as mattress fabric, pillows and bedding, due to their clear benefit in helping users get a good night's sleep. It cools down before the first sign of sweat, delays heat build-up and continuously regulates temperature. Instantly cool to the touch, the components synergistically recharge the surface layer ensuring a constantly cool, dry and comfortable body climate.

USDA Certified Dual Action Cooling Textile Technology
The thermofunctional polymer derived from biobased vegetable oil absorbs thermal energy, providing an instant sensation of freshness. If the body continues to heat up, perspiration is generated and the patented hydrofunctional polymer draws moisture away along with the heat, creating a continuous cooling effect that stops once cooling is complete. HeiQ Cool's blend of a hydrofunctional polymer with a biobased vegetable oil derived thermofunctional polymer formulation is USDA® Certified Biopreferred with greater than 50% biobased content. It is also suitable for OEKO-TEX class 1 textiles and meets the requirements of the restricted substances list (RSL) of most brands.

HeiQ Marketing Director Hoi Kwan Lam said :"Since the pandemic began, consumers are investing more in improving the comfort of their homes. We spend a third of our time sleeping, so it is important that we invest in products that give us a good night's sleep. In fact, research A survey conducted by Cotton Inc. in 2017 showed that 55% of consumers are looking for thermoregulatory features in their bedding products. In recent years, consumers have shown a strong desire for more functional and sustainable products. The HeiQ treatment Cool is not only based on more sustainable components than anything you can find on the market, but the fact that it helps to efficiently balance your temperature probably means that it can reduce air conditioning energy consumption!"

HeiQ Co-Founder and CEO Carlo Centonze said : " I am extremely pleased that our mission to improve the lives of billions has taken a big step in the right direction with the launch of HeiQ Cool. It is yet another testament to our philosophy that innovation is the only way forward and that sustainable technologies are within reach if we set out to pursue them.I am confident that consumers will now have the means to sleep well and play sports, leading a life of greater comfort".
