In-Line Steamer

The Resch In-Line Steamer is a compact system designed to provide easy installation between any Link spinning frame and winder. The manufacturer states that the system automatically steams bobbins to relax yarn twist and control residual moisture, resulting in higher yarn quality and lower manufacturing cost. This system works reliably on a wide range of yarn types including worsted, wool, polyester, and high twist blends, as well as 100% cotton yarns.

The system operates cyclically using an indexing process in which the bobbins are steamed and subsequently dried in two minutes or less. System capacity is up to 900 bobbins/hr. Both the steaming and drying processes are performed under controlled vacuum conditions. All functional sequence and temperature settings are computer controlled and monitored, and can be preset using a simple system of dials.

The steamer occupies less than 10 ft of floor space and operates using 90 psi of compressed air, 400V AC and water.
