The best way to minimize maintenance requirements of Thermal Oxidizer equipment is to provide a Thermal Oxidizer Specialist who knows good operating practices
Lack of planned maintenance can cost you money. Poorly adjusted or improperly maintained Thermal Oxidizer equipment uses more fuel and causes needless shutdowns.

The best way to minimize maintenance requirements of Thermal Oxidizer equipment is to provide a Thermal Oxidizer Specialist who knows good operating practices, is aware of the costly consequences to production and the hazards of careless equipment manipulation. Only qualified persons should conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Field Engineering Thermal Oxidizer inspection services provide precise results as well as recommendations for your Thermal Oxidizer good preventive maintenance procedures and upgrades.

Inspection Services include the following;

Hydraulics and Related Components
The hydraulic components are one of the most important safety requirements for your total system operation. If your facility experiences any power outage and/or shutdowns, the accumulators extra pressure volume will force all flow control valves to the open position. Correct flow control valve positioning controls static ventilation during shutdown and does not permit cold face area over temperature exposures.

Flow Control Valves and Related Components
Flow control valves are considered high maintenance due to the effect of the system operating limits, system airflow reduction and decreasing total system destruction efficiency.

Central Chamber and Related Components
Central chamber internal insulation has a very low thermal conductivity which protects the exterior shell from the high central chamber temperature. Material flaking, large cracks, excessive damage and excessive breakage cause deterioration to the steel shell (hotspots).

Cold Faces and Related Components
The cold face retainer grid supports the heat exchanger media (stoneware) is inspected for damage to the grid supports and damages caused by a faulty flow control valve not seating properly.

Heat Exchanger Media (Stoneware) and Related Components
Damaged heat exchanger media could cause reduction of system airflow, increase fuel usage due to poor preheat of air and/or decrease total system destruction efficiency.

Burner and Related Components
Burner safety and operation should not be compromised. Burner nozzle and body cracking, dirt build up, deterioration and/or plugging of the orifices can cause improper burner firing. Burner sequencing of the purge and ignition system should be tested every six months. Burner permissive and safeties are required to light and maintain the burner safe operation. Accidents usually can be traced to indifferent maintenance of protective devices or failure to immediately and properly remedy defects.

System Controls and Related Components
The PLC programmable logic controller is the thermal oxidizer system intelligence. The PLC is dependant on the sensing equipment and the signal received to make the correct determination. Therefore, it is imperative the controller, instrumentation and sensing devices are all operating correctly and properly calibrated.

The Thermal Oxidizer internal components are classified confined space application per federal regulations. Our Field Engineering staff is confined space trained.
