John D. Hollingsworth on Wheels, Inc., Names New President and COO

Carl W. Martin has been promoted to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of John D. Hollingsworth On Wheels, Inc., a worldwide supplier of card clothing and ancillary equipment to the textile and nonwoven industries.

Martin, previously General Manager for Sales and Marketing, has also been elected Director and Member of the Board. John D. Hollingsworth continues as Chairman.

"Last year we formed a Management Team to strengthen the organizational structure of the company and to improve our global competitiveness within the industries in which we operate," Martin said.

A native of Greenville, Martin is a 1971 graduate of the University of Georgia. Upon graduation, he joined Hollingsworth where he worked gained significant knowledge about the market, the company and the various divisions over the past 29 years.

Martin is also an active member of the Board of Directors of the American Textile Machinery Association (ATMA) and a member of the Southern Textile Association (STA) and is a member of the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce.

Hollingsworth was founded in the 1890's, now operating manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany, Brazil and Mexico. There are sales and service locations in 17 foreign countries as well as several service centers throughout the United States.
