Mascoe Systems Corporation was established in 1976 as a manufacturer of textile finishing equipment. Over the years we have grown to become the largest manufacturer of coating machines in the United States. Our success is due to the precision of our machinery and the technical support we provide. Mascoe has focused on the quality of the equipment we produce and have remained years ahead of the competition by developing new technologies for the finishing industry.

Following is a brief list of some of the equipment we are currently manufacturing:

1. Coating machines: Mascoe produces approximately 90% of all new coaters purchased in the United States. Our coaters offer several features that allow for more controllable add-on, no chemical bleed through, substantial chemical savings and easy clean-up. These features include automatic retaining trough, floating blade system and our Series 4000 control system. The majority of the units produced are knife coater systems. We also produce kiss coaters, vertical coaters, laminators, pad & dip coaters and numerous other systems. Most of our coaters are custom built to meet the needs for your application.

2. Drying system: Mascoe manufactures a new revolutionary drying system that was developed specifically for coating. The dryer offers lower stable air flow, low exhaust emission and reduced oven operating expenses. The unique clam shell design allows for easy access to the fabric. Nozzles and tenter chains can also be reached for easy clean-up and maintenance.

3. Edge guiding system: This system has a mechanical arm feeler that is especially beneficial for delicate fabrics and fabric with rough edges. It provides a major advantage over photo eye systems in these applications.

Mascoe's equipment is used widely in the textile industry including apparel, mattress ticking, upholstery, conveyor belting and airbags. There are a variety of chemicals applied to these products such as acrylic, latex, urethane, PVC's and silicone.

We also provide the following services:

1. Mascoe has represented Hisaka Works, of Osaka Japan, in the United States and Canada for the last 20 years specifically for their jet dye machines. We have supported Hisaka through sales of their equipment, replacement parts, technical support and service for their equipment.

2. Mascoe's machine shop is one of the largest in the Southeast United States. We machine a majority of the parts for our machinery as well as doing contract work for custom parts requested by our customers. We also have the largest regrinding and reconditioning center for coating blades in the United States.

3. Research and development for coating and drying applications has been an enormous part of our success. We have a complete range for the purpose of development. All of our customers have utilized our range and many use it on a regular basis because of its versatility and the technical support we provide. The range allows the customer to produce samples using many different fabrics and chemicals without having to shut down their production lines. In 1999 Mascoe plans to install a much larger sampling range for doing long sample runs and as a backup coating facility for our customers.
