Marshall and Williams manufactures a heavy duty mercerizer Tenter (Stenter) frame designed for use with wet caustic. The rails and chain are designed to handle the heavy pulls associated with cotton mercerization. The chain is designed with a special lubrication free bushing, which extends chain life. The drive end of the Tenter (Stenter) is located over the wet fabric. The Tenter (Stenter) is equipped with a was system which includes a pan, primary and circulating pumps, cascade system, heaters and vacuum boxes with vacuum pumps and motors.
