New Startup, Air Tailor, Offers Clothing Alterations & Repairs By Text Message
Tailor-by-text company launches nationwide to alter and repair clothing.
New York, NY (PRWEB) - Air Tailor, a nationwide, on-demand tailoring startup that offers clothing alteration and repair services – all via text message – has completed testing and officially launched today.
“My team and I conceptualized Air Tailor in May 2015 and we've since been dedicated to improving the somewhat tired alteration industry”, says founder and CEO, Joshua Adam Brueckner. “We’re tapping into technology and conversational commerce innovations by utilizing SMS text messaging to give our customers a highly personalized experience.”
Air Tailor offers a wide range of services including taking in shirts, fixing holes in jeans, replacing watch batteries, and even repairing shoes. Within minutes of signing up for Air Tailor at airtailor.com, customers are sent a text message with a branded VCF file to save to their phone’s contacts. Whether day or night, customers will be guided through preparing the garment for alteration or repair. If in New York City, a pick-up can be scheduled. Otherwise, a pre-paid label to ship their clothing is emailed. The turnaround time is five business days. All services are currently being performed in-house at their tailoring facility in Brooklyn, New York. The company plans to develop partnerships with online and brick and mortar clothing retailers across the United States.
Desmond Duggan, an early Air Tailor adopter from San Francisco had this to say, “I had my pants hemmed by Air Tailor and they were a pleasure to work with. They have high standards for their work and their professionalism is refreshing. I’m happy to have them as my personal tailor that’s only a text away.”
Air Tailor also aims to reduce the 11 million lbs. of textiles that end up in landfills each year in the United States, and even donates leftover fabric scraps from alterations to be recycled.
