In a strategic partnership designed to streamline price ticket and carton labeling printing, Paxar Corporation, the global leader in apparel identification, has teamed with TradeLink Technologies, a Hong Kong and Charlotte, N.C.-based market leader in web-based Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) trading. The alliance combines Paxar's expertise in barcode printing technology with TradeLink's web-based supply chain management applications, merging EDI document exchange from a hosted portal application with printer, supply and hardware components — offering a "one-stop" solution for EDI compliance without the costs and complexities of implementing standard EDI.

The alliance provides customers with the ability to produce price tickets and carton labels anywhere in the world, 24/7, in multiple languages from a hosted application. This allows manufacturers to keep pace with retail compliance, keep up with the demand for lower cost products and eliminate the need for EDI expertise. This allows retailers to get fashions into their stores faster, cheaper and in-stock. Paxar and TradeLink have installed systems with Tommy Hilfiger, Liz Claiborne, Warnaco and Williams-Sonoma.
