Paxar Pairs With Two Technology Leaders To Produce Anti-Theft Products
Source tagging is a new initiative in the apparel and retail apparel industries designed to prevent theft of soft goods and apparel. Paxar's suite of EAS products save retailers valuable time and reduce their labor costs by combining anti-theft products with apparel identification products, and by having them applied at the source of manufacture, thus the term source-tagging. Brand manufacturers and other suppliers benefit by offering a unique method of providing their retail customers with a value-added service.
Paxar's EAS labels and tags work with in-store transmitters and receivers to protect apparel from shoplifters. With current annual retail shrinkage reported at more than $29 billion nationwide, the apparel and retail apparel industries will benefit from source tagging using EAS labels as part of their loss prevention and asset protection programs. EAS labels and tags not only reduce shoplifting, they lower the overall cost of running a loss prevention program— all while bringing a variety of benefits to apparel retailers, manufacturers and consumers.
Paxar can design tags and labels to match an existing corporate style, or, we can work with a retailer or manufacturer to create a new design for apparel identification products that meet loss prevention, design and sourcing requirements," said Chris Robins, Director of Retail Sales and Business Development. "EAS labels and tags can arrive at manufacturing locations anywhere in the world ready for application to apparel, allowing retailers to receive merchandise floor-ready, lower labor costs, and more openly merchandise products for higher sell-throughs."
Paxar's EAS products give retailers access to the most comprehensive and flexible loss prevention program in the industry providing the following benefits:
- Improves merchandise aesthetics
- Maintains floor-ready merchandise programs
- Compatible with100% tagging compliance
- Reduces in-store labor cost because apparel arrives with EAS labels and tags
- Reduces inventory shrinkage
- Integrates effective anti-theft device with brand identification
- Easier to conceal, making it less bulky than hard plastic tags
- Coordinates programs to match existing corporate style
- Gives consumers more freedom to try on apparel without restrictions
