Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation To Market IZOD Women's Sportswear Beginning June 2007

New York, NY - Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation announced recently, that the Company and Kellwood have mutually agreed not to renew the license for IZOD Women's Sportswear. PVH will develop and market women's sportswear under the IZOD brand beginning in June 2007 according to the company.

"We believe we can replicate in the women's sportswear arena the success we have had with the IZOD brand in men's sportswear", stated Emanuel Chirico, Chief Executive Officer. "Our success with women's apparel in our own retail stores gives us confidence to enter into women's wholesale sportswear." Mr. Chirico continued, "We will now be able to manage the IZOD brand across both the men's and women's sportswear categories in a consistent manner. The design, merchandising, price positioning and distribution for the women's sportswear line will mirror that of our IZOD men's product. It is a natural progression for the Company to move in this direction."
