Planetary Polymer Metering Pumps

Planetary spinning pumps were evolved by Slack & Parr in the 1960s to meet the need for multiple metered streams in a limited space at a lower cost per stream - in effect an extension of the 3-gear pump.
Planetary spinning pumps were evolved by Slack & Parr in the 1960s to meet the need for multiple metered streams in a limited space at a lower cost per stream - in effect an extension of the 3-gear pump. The planetary pump also saves space and cost by using fewer drive units and heater jackets.
The technical advantages of single stage planetary pumps are:
- equal temperature profile per stream
- minimised threadline to threadline variation
- improved subsequent yarn processing performance
- improved torque capacity
