Rotors

Burckhardt America, Inc. manufactures rotors in our facility in Greensboro, North Carolina for Schlafhorst SE-8, SE-9, and SE-10 Autocoros; Rieter R1, R20, M1/1, M2/1, RU-14, RU-11, RL-10, and Savio. We offer rotor sizes ranging from 30mm to 135mm with all the standard groove configurations. In addition we can manufacture virtually any size and shape rotor that might be required to meet a special application.

We offer rotors with protective surface treatments, including diamond coating, boron treatment, and a combination of boron and diamond together to prolong the useful life of the rotors. Typically a diamond coated G 33 D rotor running 18/1 cotton will last approximately 2 years. However, we have seen a wide range of rotor life between various yarn plants because of differences in trash content, cleaning and carding equipment, twist multiple, etc. Boron / diamond rotors would be expected to last approximately twice as long as those coated with diamond alone. Although we cannot always predict the exact life of a rotor, we can guarantee that rotors from Burckhardt America, Inc. will last at least as long or longer than the original equipment rotors and will produce a yarn quality equal or superior to that obtained with the original equipment.
