SupplyShift And Textile Exchange Partner To Accelerate Industry-Wide Responsible Supply Chains In Textiles And Apparel

Partnership combines expert textile industry group with leading supply chain transparency software platform

SupplyShift, a leading responsible sourcing and supply chain transparency software platform, has announced a partnership with non-profit industry group Textile Exchange to accelerate responsible sourcing practices across global textile and apparel supply chains. The partnership adds a streamlined set of supply chain assessment tools to the suite of offerings available to the Textile Exchange community, using SupplyShift’s platform to engage suppliers at all levels of the supply chain to assess risk, reduce supply chain impact, identify fiber sources, and generate business insight.

“Complex problems require multiple interventions. As we drive implementation of options for greater transparency and traceability, our partnership with SupplyShift will provide a unique opportunity for our members to drive significant improvement in their textile and apparel supply chains,” says La Rhea Pepper, Managing Director at Textile Exchange. “This is happening at the same time that the Central Database System (CDS) is in final piloting stages. The CDS will digitize the chain of custody for all Textile Exchange and GOTS Standards to strengthen integrity and provide a backbone and collaboration point for multiple technology solutions. By combining our expertise with SupplyShift’s platform, we’ve created an efficient, effective system to help businesses identify supply chain risks and opportunities and embed responsible practices into their business strategies more broadly.”

As part of their partnership, Textile Exchange and SupplyShift are announcing Textile & Apparel Supply Chain Essentials, a standardized SupplyShift assessment package launched in collaboration with Textile Exchange to promote visibility and information-backed action at every tier of the global textile and apparel supply chain. The Textile and Apparel Supply Chain Essentials will provide a streamlined method for members to collect and analyze high-impact supply chain data related to the sourcing, manufacturing, certification, and transport of apparel and textiles.

“This solution is a key piece of our effort to create a collaborative solution where textile and apparel organizations at any stage can address the issues that impact their business while developing insights that move the entire industry forward,” says Jamie Barsimantov, COO of SupplyShift. “We are thrilled to provide a technology option that helps Textile Exchange members efficiently drive progress in core areas of their supply chains.”

SupplyShift’s relationship with Textile Exchange is part of an expanded mission to grow the unified supplier network and facilitate a wide range of supply chain solutions for the textile and apparel industry, including environmental and social data collection and analysis, raw material traceability, farmer impact, audits, and more. In the apparel sector, SupplyShift also provides solutions through The Sustainability Consortium and Organic Cotton Accelerator and works one-on-one with retailers and brands to deploy customized solutions for textile and apparel supply chains.
