Textile and Analytical Lab
Texanlab today is headed by his son, Mr. Ullhas Nimkar, who has been educated at the University of Leeds as a M.Sc.(Tech). in Textile & Colour Chemistry. The laboratory is managed by a team of highly qualified technologists who work in well equipped laboratories using state-of-the-art technology. It is built on a rock solid foundation of experience and expertise. The Customer ... Is Always First !
At Texanlab, customers enjoy the highest standards of excellence. We provide timely and accurate results which guarantee customer satisfaction.
At Texanlab, time is the all important criterion. All incoming samples are accepted with an assurance that reports are to be ready not just on a specific date but also at a specified time of that day. We test over 500 samples each day and race against time to deliver consistent and reliable reports.
Not Just Results ... Advise Too !
At Texanlab, you don't just get data and results but professional advise and solutions too. This means apart from routine fabric quality and performance tests, we also offer a wide range of Analytical and Consultancy services. Many of these are offered free of charges to our customers.
We have been at the forefront of the Ecological Analysis in India. We introduced the testing for the Presence of Banned Amines in December 1994 and have progressively expanded our testing facilities with world class instruments and techniques to include most of the requirements in Europe today.
Texanlab today is the perfect blend of expertise and sophistication, combining years of experience with contemporary technology and modern equipment.
In 1994, Germany established regulations to limit and eliminate environmental and health hazards from the currently used processes in the Textile & Leather Industry. Texanlab has been at the forefront of the analysis required to monitor such parameters and to detect the presence of harmful chemicals in Indian Exports bound for Germany and other West European Countries who adopted regulations on the lines of Germany.
Texanlab was the first laboratory in India to offer the test for the Detection of Banned Amines as per the German Regulation, way back in December 1994. We have worked closely with leading German Institutes in developing the test method, which they finally standardized and published in March 1996. The technique has also been discussed and reviewed with detailed meetings, correlation studies and training at one of Germanys largest and most modern laboratories. Today we have the experience of over 15000 samples tested for eco tests.
In February 1995 and again in March 1995, we released a compilation of over 4 months of exhaustive research on the subject, as a booklet which incorporated a detailed list of dyes based on the banned amines and precautions / suggestions that a dyer or processor needs to take care of in order to produce goods to conform to the regulation.
We have conducted seminars for some of our customers where Eco-parameters were explained to their staff, their dyers / printers / processors and other related persons in order that they arrive at a definitive strategy to conform to the new regulations.
On the acquisition of our first Gas Chromatograph coupled with a Mass Detector (GC-MS) in January 1996, we unfolded a fresh and exciting new chapter in Texanlab's analytical capabilities. Today, we have three more GC's in the analytical division, two GC FID's and a GC ECD. Using internationally accepted testing procedures, we are now able to test for the following Eco-Parameters :
Presence Of Banned Amines
Presence Of Pentachlorophenol (PCP)
Presence of Tetrachlorophenol (TeCP)
Presence Of Formaldehyde (Free & Released)
pH Value
Presence Of Chloro Organic Compounds
Presence Of Poly Chlorinated Biphenyls (PCB's)
Presence of Pesticide Residues
Presence of Heavy Metals in textiles and dyes
Presence of Nickel (extended wear)
Presence of Tributyltin (TBT) and Dibutyltin (DBT)
Presence of BHT in Polybags
