With over 63 years combined experience in textile technology and process engineering, TSI embarked on a mission in late 1994 to develop the fastest, most versatile and economical bleaching, dyeing machine available. One year later, the TSI TURBOJET was introduced to the industry.

Prior to the introduction of the TurboJet, virtually all of the existing piece-dyeing machines available on the market had been designed by mechanical engineers with little or no dyehouse experience. Most of these machines were poorly designed and over engineered with little thought given for flexibility and ease of use.

In operating these machines over many years, these design shortfalls became readily apparent. TSI's goal was to simplify the design and create the fastest, most energy efficient machines available anywhere.
