Textube Corporation was founded in Stamford, Conn. in 1955 as a subsidiary of Emil Adolff Spulen- und Huelsenfabrik, Reutlingen, Germany. In 1957 the first production of impregnated paper ring spinning tubes began. In 1968 sales and product inventory were relocated to Greer, South Carolina.

Injection molding commenced in 1969 to provide plastic yarn carriers in addition to paper. Molded, two-color combination plastic yarn carriers were added. In 1991, Yazaki Industrial Chemical Co Ltd, Shizuoka, Japan, purchased controlling interest in Textube and shortly thereafter introduced its CREFORM modular material handling system in the USA.

1993 marked the year Textube became a wholly owned subsidiary of Yazaki, and the following year USA production of CREFORM components began in Greer, S.C. The latest milestone, in 1996, was ISO 9002 Certification (AQA-1108).
