The Mills Corporation and Saks Inc. sign agreement for Off 5th Saks

The Mills Corporation and Saks Incorporated announced an agreement to open OFF 5TH Saks Avenue Outlet stores in five upcoming Mills' centers.

The first store, approximately 28,000 square feet and currently under construction, will open at Arundel Mills outside of Baltimore in November, 2000.

This multi-site development agreement is unprecedented in the companies' eight-year relationship. The first OFF 5TH store debuted at Franklin Mills in 1992. Since that time, OFF 5TH has expanded nationally and today operates 44 stores in prime retail markets around the country.

OFF 5TH is a member of the Saks Incorporated which operates 360 specialty and department stores, in 38 states, under the names of Saks Fifth Avenue, Proffitt's, McRae's, Younkers, Parisian, Herberger's, Carson Pirie Scott, Bergner's, and Boston Store.
