Titan I
The NEW TITAN I product is made from 1500 denier singles DuPont Kevlar 29 aramid fiber. The fiber is twisted to the precise twist multiple to effect the maximum tensile break strength. Testing results consistently measure over 75 pounds average break strength. For your thin wall or low profile fiber optic cable this is the rip cord of choice. The superior tensile break strength combined with the minimum diameter results in no ridge line being visible through the jacket wall.
On a cost comparison you will find that on a per thousand foot basis you can realize net savings of between 30 to 50 %. Even though the cost per pound is more than other fibers, the effective yards per pound yield of TITAN I will prove to give you a dramatic cost savings.
Each 10 pound tube of TITAN I is a spliceless/knotless package yielding approximately 29,000 yards per package. You will benefit from increased production efficiency and also feel secure there are no problems with pressure points developing under the cable jacket. TITAN I is the rip cord of choice whenever you are making low profile fiber optic cable.
