TracTag

The TracTag combines the apparel's hang tag and bag sticker as one piece when it is printed on Paxar's in-plant printing systems. Printing these two identification documents at once eliminates the problem of mismatching apparel hang tag and label information on the garment's poly bag.

The TracTag helps to improve efficiency in the retail supply chain by improving speed and accuracy from manufacturer to the retailer. Most manufacturers scan garments as they leave the facility in order to ensure shipments match orders and to give retailers advanced shipment notification (ASN). Since the TracTag is a barcode sticker on the outside of the poly bag, the manufacturer's packaging department does not have to spend valuable time looking for the hang tag, thereby reducing shipment time. The poly bag sticker also gives the retailer something to scan when they receive the garments.

By ensuring these barcodes match, retailers avoid costly chargebacks incurred by mismatched shipments. Manufacturers can rely on information received for accurate inventory and production schedules based on information on the poly bag. Also, by eliminating unmatched barcodes on garments, the TracTag also reduces frustration for workers in production, shipping, and inventory.
